"Adventurist Extraordinaire" is how one fan called author Mark Ellis, sometimes known as James Axler, and for decades he's been working hard to live up to those expectations with his series Outlanders, The Spur, and Cryptozoica. He's also scripted the comic book exploits of Doc Savage, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and even Jim West in a Wild, Wild West mini-series. You can now add The Falcon, to that list, and I'm happy to say that as the voice of Mike Waring!
The Falcon: Resurrected audiobook is now available through Audible and Amazon MP3, bringing a long-forgotten hero back into the limelight. Originally created by Charles Huff in 1936, The Falcon was an American counterpart to Leslie Charteris' The Saint in short stories, novellas, a radio series and movie series. Now Mark has brought the character back, retrofitted for the new century as an operative for the Eyrie, a secret organization that tackles those situations that fall outside of normal security channels. Action thrillers with an emphasis on "action."
This was incredible fun to narrate, maybe my favorite book to date. There will be more Falcon to come from Mark's pen, and I hope to have another crack at the character! For now, take a listen to the sample on either Audible or Amazon...
