Welcome to Keyhouse...

So it seems like decades between blog posts; this is ultimately because I'm doing four or five projects simultaneously, and I either can't say a word about due to NDA's, or I simply don't want to say anything for fear that I'm going to jinx something. Well, there's one thing I can say as the PR was announced just before San Diego Comic Con last month. And better yet, this particular piece is available for FREE...for a limited time, anyway...

My company AudioComics has produced its biggest comics-to-audio project to date for Audible Studios, LOCKE AND KEY, based on the best-selling and critically-acclaimed graphic novel series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez for IDW!

All 6 volumes were adapted by Elaine Lee and Fred Greenhalgh (who also served as location recording guru), and directed by William Dufris, and yes, that's all 6 volumes, 30 issues into 13.5 hours of full-cast audio recorded on location.

You heard that right. ON LOCATION. Around 25% of the piece was done in studio. The remainder was recorded in the field; in houses, in outdoor locations, in underground caverns. The end result will be something unlike anything you have ever heard. A literal movie in your mind!
